1. 留学生教育

 

 

  

高水平、国际化的留学生教育是世界一流大学的普遍特征,也是先进国家高等教育的重要标志。来华留学生教育的发展,对提高高等学校的综合实力和国际影响力发挥着重要作用。而留学生课程的编制一直以来就是留学生教育工作的重中之重,国际学院自成立以来就一直将它作为工作重心,力求做到科学严谨,实事求是,因此针对来华留学生的基本情况为留学生设置了五大课程群。
  中国文化教育与自然科学课程:基础汉语、医学汉语、高等数学、医用物理学、基础化学、计算机基础等。
  人文社会科学与行为科学课程:医学心理学、医学伦理学等。
  生物医学基础课程:系统解剖学、组织学与胚胎学、局部解剖学、神经生物学、细胞生物学、生物化学、分子生物学、医学遗传学、医学生物学实验、生理学、病理生理学、药理学等。
  预防医学与科研方法学课程:预防医学、医学统计学、医学文献检索、临床流行病学、循证医学等。
  临床医学课程:检体诊断学、实验诊断学、内科学、急诊医学、麻醉学、外科学、妇产科学、儿科学等。
  除以上必修课程外还开设了临床免疫学、临床病理学、中外医学史、卫生经济学等选修课程。

Curriculum

It has five domains of courses, namely:

 

Foundational courses: Chinese, General information on China, Chinese Medicine, Advanced Mathematics, Medical Physics, Basic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Computer Basics, Physical Education.

 

Humanities, Social and Behavioral Sciences Courses: Medical Psychology, Medical Ethics, etc.

 

Biomedical Foundation Courses: Systematic Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Topographic Anatomy, Neurobiology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Medical Genetics, Medical Biological Experiments, Physiology, Pathophysiology, pharmacology, Medical Functional Experiments, Medical Microbiology, Medical Immunology, Human Parasitology, Pathogenic biology and Immunology Experiments, Pathology, Experimental Abnormal Morphology.

Preventive medicine and research methodology courses: Preventive Medicine, Medical statistics, Medical Literature Retrieval, Clinical Epidemiology, Evidence-based Medicine, etc.

 

Clinical Courses: Physical DiagnosisExperimental Diagnosis, Medical Imaging (including Ultrasound), Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Psychiatry, Nuclear Medicine, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Stomatology, Dermatology and Venereology, etc.

 

In addition to the above required courses, clinical immunology, clinical pathology, Chinese and foreign history of medicine, health system funding and other elective courses are also offered.

2. 教学质量控制

  教学质量是一个学校的生命线,离开教学质量谈学校的发展只是建造空中楼阁。首都医科大学国际学院作为留学生培养基地,谋求长远的发展,尤其注重教学质量的提高。而国际学院在这几年的发展过程中,慢慢摸索出了具有国际学院特色的改善教学质量的方法。

  1)专家评教

  20091015日,由在职及退休的专家教授组成的国际学院专家督导组成立,并由线福华副校长为督导组专家们颁发聘书,确立了督导专家教学评估机制。督导组专家评估机制成为首都医科大学国际学院教学管理模式中的一大特色,督导专家随机抽取课程进行听课,与随堂听课的学生一起对该课程作出评价,采用打分形式。国际学院通过每学期定期召开督导专家组会议,综合来自督导专家,教师,学生各个方面的意见,对留学生教学质量的提升起到了良好的促进作用。

   2)学生评教

  国际学院每个学期组织各个年级学生开展对授课老师的评教工作,随机抽取一堂课程,由学生对老师上课时的整体印象、英语水平,教学方法和水平三个方面做出评价,以上三个方面又具体细分为很多内容,例如授课老师上课时的教学态度、课堂组织与管理、英文发音、师生互动、条理性和逻辑性等方面。最后由听课的学生对授课老师这堂课的整个教学水平做出综合评价。
  国际学院除了开展学生评教工作外,还会定期召开学生座谈会,座谈会上各年级派出学生代表和主管教学工作的老师们谈谈学生们在学习过程中所遇到的问题和困难,学院认真听取学生们的意见,以期不断地对学院的整个教学工作进行改进和完善。
  学生评教和学生座谈会为教师及时了解学生学习情况和自身的教学情况提供了一个良好的平台。


Teaching quality is the essence of a school. Improvement in teaching standards is mandatory to the development of a school. As an international student training base, the International School of Capital Medical University seeks long-term development through continuous improvement in the teaching standards.

 

(1)   Expert evaluation:

Expert steering group for the International School was established on the 15th Oct 2009, comprised of professional on job and retired professors. Expert supervision certificate was awarded to the professors by the University Vice President Xian Fuhua. The expert evaluation mechanism of the steering group has become a major feature for the teaching management model of the International School of Capital Medical University. Expert supervisors select courses and lectures for evaluation randomly, lectures are scored and evaluated through the participant students. Regular meetings of the steering group are held every semester in the International school, opinions from the steering experts, lecturers, and students are gathered and appropriate action plan is developed for the future. This process has played a good role in the continuous improvement of teaching quality for the international students.

 

(2)   Student evaluation of teaching

Lecture evaluation by the students is organized every semester at the International school.  A course is selected randomly and is evaluated by students in the following three aspects:

  1. Overall impression.
    • English communication level.
    • Teaching method and the level of the teacher.

The above three aspects are subdivided into many contents, for example, the teacher's attitude, classroom organization and management, English language pronunciation, interaction between teachers and students etc.  Based on the above given characteristics students make a comprehensive evaluation of the course and the level of teaching.

 

The International School organizes regular meetings with students where class representatives from each grade communicate with the staff of the education department about the problems and difficulties related to their study. The school staff collects the opinions of the students carefully and plans accordingly for the improvement of the teaching quality.  

 

Student evaluation of teaching and student meetings provide a good platform for the teachers to understand the requirements of the students and helps to improve their own teaching.
